The room was cozy and had a great view of the River Tweed. The bed was super comfy, really helped me relax. The bathroom was nice but water pressure in the shower was a bit low. Loved having tea and coffee facilities in the room. Just a little dated overall, but still a nice space to unwind.

Great river view, but the room carpets need deep cleaning.

Had an awesome time with friends! We explored some great shooting setups and even enjoyed fully catered grouse days. The staff were friendly and helpful, but be ready for a bit of a wait during peak breakfast hours. The view over the gardens is stunning and really adds to the experience. don't miss out on the dining options. the food is top-notch.
We did have a hiccup with a noisy wedding party below our room. It was hard to relax with all the commotion and music until late at night. Make sure to check if there are events during your stay to avoid this.

I really enjoyed my stay at this Georgian hotel, especially the beautiful gardens where we relaxed with drinks after an afternoon cream tea, and the delightful strolls to nearby attractions like the Tony Huggins-Haig Gallery just a few steps away from the hotel, making it perfect for a city wanderer like me.

Spent 5 nights in a charming Double Room with a lovely river view! The gardens were delightful for walks, and our pup Bonnie adored her sausage breakfast treat every morning. Fresh sheets daily, pure bliss!
But honestly, it felt a bit like staying in Grandma's attic—tired decorations and carpet that might also qualify as a petting zoo. I nearly lost my shoes in one particularly lovely patch of carpet fluff!

Charming hotel with character
Stayed for a couple of nights in a big room with a comfy bed. The gardens looked lovely, imagine it in summer! Breakfast was ace, had a full Scottish and some fresh porridge. Bit of a trek to our room outside the main building, and the windows were stuck shut, so no fresh air. really enjoyed our time here.

the hotel is in a great location and it looks fab from the outside! the bed was super comfy and the breakfast was really good, just took a bit of time to arrive but totally worth it. the staff were really friendly too, made us feel welcome. loved the river view from our room. the gardens were pretty nice too.
the rooms felt kinda dated and that really let down the experience. also, the water pressure in the shower could be better.

The location of Ednam House is fantastic, right near Kelso's charming shops and eateries. The exterior looks stunning, especially with the lovely garden and views over the river. My river view double room was spacious, offering a breathtaking panorama. The bed felt comfortable, but the pillows were too soft. Breakfast had a good selection, and the cooked option was lovely, though I noticed some items on the menu were unavailable. while the staff was friendly, I experienced some miscommunication when checking in, and they seemed a bit rushed. One issue was the temperature in the dining room. Despite it being quite cold outside, the room lacked adequate heating and ambiance. The lighting was harsh, and no candles or fire created an inviting atmosphere like during my previous visit. I also had a plumbing issue in my room—an improperly fixed bathtub led to a bit of a mess.

Had an amazing group vacation with friends! We enjoyed shooting and exploration, fully catered to our preferences. The food was delicious, and the dining options were varied and exciting. Just a heads up , the breakfast service can be slow, so plan accordingly.
Unfortunately, during our stay, we experienced an issue with noise levels as our room was near an event. it made it hard to relax.
